While the collection calls may be a terrible thing to face, it is important that you keep good solid communication with your mortgage company in order to make sure that they will help you options, if there are any available to you. If the companies and organizations that you call are not able or willing to help stop foreclosure for you then there is not much else you can do besides bring your account up to date. If you are living on too tight of a budget because you really cannot afford the mortgage payment, then letting it go may not be all that bad of a thing. When it comes down to it, you just have to remember that everything happens for a reason and you may be able to find a home that is easier for you to afford and maintain.
